Note for the GM: this is a low content island with a single NPC on it who will give a quest, usually quite a generic quest.
Include at least two images here, one for GM use with everything marked, the other for player use with the location names omitted. The player map can be purchased from a demon of Pascalentue somewhere within the region, usually at sea.
The only real place of note on the island. As the players approach, they will be ambushed by Laas, a Demon of Noctoria. If they do well enough in combat against him, he will tell the players they have earned his respect. He was intending to hunt them, but asks if they would be intersted in hunting, themselves.
Laas provides the players with a list of rare creatures to slay. For each one they are able to take down, they will be rewarded.
Laas can be pressed for what these creatures are and where they came from. If successful in pressing him, the players will be told they are experiments of Tanselia. Essentially prototypes of life that were deemed unsuitable for the world, but still ended up there.
The creatures they are to take down are listed in the following table:
Creature | Description | Rough location |
---|---|---|
Bigfoot | A large, hairy creature, borderline humanoid in form. It is tremendously strong and it would be unwise to try to fight it it melee combat. Even at range, it is capable of striking the ground so hard as to cause damage to everything around it. | In the Crimson Forest on Keep of Kal. |
Unicorn | A pristinely white horse with a single horn pertruding from its head. Has innate arcane ability and very tough, enchanted skin. | |
Water Dragon | Dragons were the dominant creautres in the first era but were all but wiped out. There is said to be one water dragon still alive somewhere in the world. | The exact location is unknown. Water dragons were affiliated with Tanselia, so the best place to start a seach would be the Temple of Tanselia. |
Asmodeus | A giant serpant that confuses with its gaze. | |
The rewards given for clearing the rare creatures is determined by a running total of the number of creatures cleared. The following table shows the rewards at each milestone
Count | Reward(s) |
