On the horizon, you spy a lush and verdant green island. Wildlife seems abundant and clear waters wash from the island's river into the ocean.
Arriving on Lifespring Island, you are captivated by its natural beauty. You have never seen anything so lush and full of nature before and the second you walk on the shore, it is as if the nature around has recognised and welcomed your presence. The air is thick with magic and every rustling leaf seems to carry a melody of its own.
At the heart of the island sits a shrine to Tanselia. A spring from which the island's river finds its source, above which sits a rock formation with the visage of a smiling woman's face.
Beside the main pool of water is a tree, bent into the shape of a small hut, presumably intended to provide shelter for any pilgrims or monks who choose to visit.
Hidden within the thick foliage and flora of the forest sits a modest, elegent and beautiful building. Tall columns of marble sit atop stone steps, reaching towards the blue skies above. Intricate carvings of religious iconography, angels and depictions of deities line the walls. Nature, rather than being kulled back, seems to shy away from the edges of the building as if respecting its boundaries. Plants grow up to its edges, but stop before encroaching on its grounds. Animals will walk across it, but never stay long enough to dirty the pristine stone forming the building.
As you walk closer, you see that a sign denotes the names of those purported to live here: Vartara, Angel of Tanselia and Krend, Demon of Tyronidus.
The sign refers to them as the protectors of the island and states that they will allow no evil to cross its shores.
If the players try to enter the palace, they will be stopped by Vartara.
"This is sacred ground, only for the protectors of this island. You have not been summoned, so do not enter."
If the players still enter, combat will start with both Vartara and Krend
